About Us

Power A Clean Future Ohio (PCFO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization building a clean energy future for all Ohio communities by engaging directly with local governments across the state. We equip local leaders with tools and resources, empowering them to create and implement carbon reduction plans that are achievable, measurable, equitable, and economical.

Our History

Power A Clean Future Ohio (PCFO) was initially formed in 2020 as a project supported by a statewide coalition of advocates committed to developing and implementing proven climate solutions at the local level.

While PCFO continues to be supported by a broad coalition of advocacy organizations, policy experts, and business leaders, in 2023, the organization was formally established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. In its continued growth and evolution, PCFO aims to better serve member communities and drive change across Ohio toward a clean energy future. PCFO is focused on providing new tools and resources to local governments and finding creative avenues to pursue meaningful reductions of carbon emissions throughout the state.
