Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program Webinar
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program is an initiative that provides funding for states, local governments, and tribes to reduce energy use, lower fossil fuel emissions, and improve energy efficiency. Eligible entities can use the funds to develop energy efficiency and conservation strategies, conduct energy audits, establish financial incentive programs, implement building codes, and install renewable energy technology.
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) provides $550 million for EECBG Program for the fiscal year 2022. DOE will distribute $440 million in formula and competitive EECBG Program funding to eligible units of local government, states, and Indian tribes.
Eligible entities must apply to the United States Department of Energy for funding. The first step for eligible entities is to complete the Pre-Award Information Sheet with the Department of Energy. PCFO has provided the information on this page for communities that have been allocated funding through the EECBG program including the recording from our March 6, 2023 webinar, presentation materials, and links to other resources. Don't hesitate to contact Cassandra Clevenger, PCFO Deputy Director, and IGAP Coordinator at Cassandra@poweracleanfutre.org if you have any questions.
